Davlatov Nurali
analytical journalist. He has graduated the historical department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1992-1996, he was the fellow of the Institute of History at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. In 1997-1998, he was a correspondent of the weekly newspaper Sadam, in 1998-2003 – deputy chief editor of the weekly newspaper Javononi Tojikiston, in 2004 – acting chief editor of the weekly newspaper Odamuolam. In 2005-2006 – deputy chief editor of the weekly newspaper Millat. In 2006-2008 – chief editor of weekly newspaper Nigoh. In 2008-2013 – deputy chief editor of daily newspaper Faraj. Currently, he is a freelance journalist.
Davlatov Zoir
graduated from the department of Arabic studies of the faculty of Oriental studies at the National University of Tajikistan in 2000, postgraduate school at the Institute of Arabic research and study of the Arab League in Cairo, Egypt. In 2001 to 2004, he worked as a freelance correspondent in Egypt, then as the teacher of Arabic language at the National University of Tajikistan. He is the author of dozens of analytical articles regarding the issues of international relations and situation in the Middle East published in the domestic press. Currently, he is studying the relations between the Central Asian states and Arab states.
Bondarenko Konstantin
public figure, economist.  In 2015, he earned Executive Master degree in Development Policies and Practices at the Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva, Switzerland). Since 2015, student in the master’s programme of Kyiv School of Economics in the Master of Business Administration. From 2001 to 2007, he worked in executive positions at the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Tajikistan. In 2009-2010, he was executive director of the National Association of Small and Medium Businesses of the Republic of Tajikistan. In 2010, he became the founder and chairperson of public organisation “Centre for Free Market of Tajikistan”, an independent think-tank that performs active educational, analytical and research activities in the field of economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan on the basis of liberal values. Lecturer in free trade and government management of the economy; coach and consultant in the field of organisation development and strategic planning. Co-author of several research and analytical works dedicated to the development of entrepreneurship and business environment, pension reform, government management of telecommunications, etc. Author of approximately 60 articles published in the media of Tajikistan, Central Asia and Ukraine.
Arifov Hamidjon
in 1971 graduated from Geophysical Institute of Leningrad Mining Institute, major: Mining Geophysical Engineer, since 1990 – Candidate of geological-mineralogical sciences. Work experience in the energy industry of USSR and Tajikistan – 34 years. He has taken part in surveys of power lines, substations, small scale power plants in various regions of USSR: Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakstan, Russian Federation. From 2000 to 2008, he was Director of Tajik Research Department of Energy of Barqi Tojik Open Joint-Stock Holding Company. Awarded for excellence in Barqi Tojik. Since 2005 – Secretary of Tajik National Committee of the International Commission on Large Dams, associate member of the Engineering Academy of the Republic of Tajikistan. Author of 80+ publications in academic periodicals, materials of international conferences and international forums, as well as in newspapers of Tajikistan and Russian Federation covering the issues of application of geophysical and engineering-geological methods of improving safety of power networks, water and hydraulic facilities, practical application of international water law.
Abdullo Rashid Gani
a graduate of the department of Arabic language of the faculty of oriental languages of Tajik State University (Dushanbe, 1971), postgraduate studies at USSR (Moscow, 1978-1981), candidate of historical sciences, alumna of the Fulbright Programme (School of Foreign Affairs, Georgetown University, Washington D.C., 1995). Since 1971 and till the collapse of the USSR – member of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Tajik SSR. 1974-1977 – interpreter of the group of Soviet military experts in Iraq; 1982-1984 — interpreter of the group of Soviet experts in Libya; 1987-1990 — interpreter of the group of military advisers to USSR in Syria. 1992-1994 — Assistant for Political Affairs, US Embassy in Tajikistan. 1995-1996 — political analyst, Dushanbe office of Commonwealth and British Minerals (co-founder of Tajik-British JV Zarafshan Gold Company). 1996-2000 — Political affairs officer of the UN Mission of Observers in Tajikistan (UNMOT). 2000-2007 — Political affairs officer of the UN Tajikistan Office of Peace-building (UNTOP). August 2007 until now – freelance political analyst. Active work with media from 1995 until now.
Bekturganov Danil
sociologist, political analyst. President of non-governmental foundation “Civil Expertise”. Graduate of Kazak Polytechnical Institute (1993), major: electrical engineer, and Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (2007), major: political analyst. Since 1999, he has been election observer. He has been the participant of 10 election observation missions in Kazakstan and over 20 observation missions in CIS and non-CIS countries. Author and co-author of over 25 sociological studies dedicated to various topics related to the civil activity during election.  Developer and coordinator of the first in Kazakstan long-term election observation (2003).
Burnashev Rustam
in 1991, graduated from the philosophy-economy department of the Lenin Tashkent State University; major – philosophy. In 1997, he graduated from the postgraduate school of the Muminov Institute of Philosophy and Law at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan; PhD. Since 1998, senior research fellow, then head of foreign policy analysis sector of the Institute of strategic and interregional studies at the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since 2000, assistant professor of the international relations department of the Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages. Since 2002, professor of the department of social sciences of Kazakstan-German University. He has over 60 publications on military and political aspects of security in Central Asia; theory of international relations; theory of international security; modern French philosophy; logics, methodology and philosophy of science.

General Director of Desenta non-governmental foundation. He graduated from Pavlodar State University in 1996, Novosibirsk Humanities Institute in 2001. Member of the Council for cooperation with NGOs at the Government of the Republic of Kazakstan. Member of Pavlodar Town Maslikhat, 4th convocation, on the permanent commission for compliance with law and civil rights. Member of Independent Anti-corruption Council and Coordination Council for Community Development.
Gusarova Anna
Director of Central Asian Institute for Strategic Studies (CAISS) and senior lecturer of Kazakstan-German University in Almaty. Degree in American studies and master’s degree in security studies in Central Asia. She has been an expert of KazISS at the President of the Republic of Kazakstan. Alumna of the George Marshall European Centre for Security Studies (Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany), the Daniel Inouye Asia-Pacific Centre for Security Studies (Honolulu, USA), and CSTO Institute (Moscow, RF). Author of over 30 research articles and collective monographs, and 100 articles and comments in the media. Area of expertise: US strategy in Central Asia, foreign policy of the US and security issues in Central Asia. Interests: violent extremism and terrorism, cyber security.
